What Does Prestige Do In Hunt Showdown? An In-Depth Investigation

Hunt Showdown has a clear progression system. After each game, the player receives Bloodline XP, depending on how many Hunters and monsters he eliminated, how many bounties got extracted, and more. If the player reaches the Bloodline rank of 100, he gets the option to prestige.

If the player decides to prestige, the following things will happen:

  • Money gets set back to $4.000
  • All owned hunters get removed
  • All quickplay hunters get removed
  • Recruitable hunters will be reset
  • All owned weapons will be removed
  • Reset all owned items and traits
  • Reset daily and weekly challenges
  • Increases prestige rank by 1
  • Sets Bloodline level to 1

Note that you will still keep all of your legendary hunters and legendary weapons after prestige because they are locked to your account. If you lose a legendary hunter or weapon within a match, you can buy them back in the store for a certain amount of Hunt Dollars. Additionally, remember that there’s a hatch for escape during matches, which can be a crucial strategic point in your gameplay.

What are Hunt Showdowns’ prestige rewards?

That said, whenever you prestige in Hunt, you’re allowed to choose between a 10% XP boost for the next prestige, or an extra $2.000. At Hunts prestige levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 20, 30, 40, 60, 70, 80, and 90, you’ll get a third option, that lets you get a random legendary hunter or weapon.

When reaching specific prestige levels, the player also receives special legendary rewards, such as:

Prestige Level Reward
5 Sparks LRR Lousianna Lunstrum
10 Bornheim No. 3 Golden Ticket
25 Quad Derringer Silver Quarter
50 Winfield M1873 Fifty Laurels
100 Mosin-Nagant M1891 The Centenary

While climbing the prestige ranks, the representing tier badge also changes. Prestige rank 1 has a simple design, while prestige rank 100 has a more appealing and cool-looking badge.

To reach rank 100, the player has to obtain 99.800 Bloodline XP in Hunt Showdown. So, to get to prestige 100, you have to obtain 9.980.000 Bloodline XP. To climb the ranks faster, you should aim for extracting at least one bounty, plus eliminating a couple of hunters. However, it’s worth noting that like in other games such as Dead by Daylight, strategic use of perks can also greatly influence your progression speed and gameplay experience.
