Most of the over 900 different monsters in Summoners War have a second evolution, which is stronger than the original form. In 2019, they released an update, which introduced the second awakening feature, that gives the player the option to evolve a monster a second time.
One level 1, it takes 313 runs to second awake a monster. On level two, it takes 239 runs, on level three 179 runs, and on level four 136 runs. Farming level five is the fastest way, as you only need 105 runs to second awaken a monster.
At the moment, players can evolve monsters out of seven monster families, across seven dungeons in the Dimensional Hole. Monster families that can second awaken are:
Faries | Griffons |
Pixies | Werewolfs |
Warbears | Martial Cats |
Inugamis | Howls |
Grim Reapers |
To obtain the second awakening, a player has to clear specific dungeons, depending on the monster, which should evolve. When the dungeon boss gets successfully defeated, the monster will receive some Exp, based on the cleared level.
Here is an image containing stats of the dungeon boss Belladeon:
For example, if a player wants to unlock the second awakened form for his Crow, he must clear the inugami dungeon until he has collected enough Exp. Note that Crow has to be evolved and at least on 4-Stars, to be able to bring him into the dungeon.
To second awaken a monster, every player has to collect 100,000 AXP (awakening XP), and the monster needs all skills on max level. Collecting 100,000 AXP can be done in a few hours, based on how fast a team can clear the dungeon. Here is a list on how many dungeon runs are required (without fails!), to collect 100,000 AXP in the Dimensional Hole:
Level: | Required runs: | Earned AXP per run: |
---|---|---|
1 | 313 | 320 |
2 | 239 | 420 |
3 | 179 | 560 |
4 | 136 | 740 |
5 | 105 | 960 |
Entering a stage in the Dimensional Hole will cost 1 energy out of 100 max energy. This special energy will recharge by 1 every 2 hours, so it will take 200 hours or 8,3 days to recharge 100 energy. This is why it is important that a team can clear at least level 4 100% save. But sill, farming level 5 is the fastest way to second awaken a monster. Refilling 10 energy will cost 120 crystals, which is very expensive and a clear waste if you ask me.
If you are not sure if a team is able to clear a stage, you can enable the “Test Mode,” which allows you to test your teams without wasting valuable energy.
