Since the release of Brawl Stars, many new playable characters got introduced to the game. However, not only the new Brawlers are very popular, as even older characters still shine in the different game modes. Leon is one of the most wanted Brawlers out there, and even today, many people still miss this character in their collection.
So, is there a way to get Leon in Brawl Stars fast? Lucky as you are, there are some ways to get Leon on Brawl Stars, which I want to show you now.
Method 1: Buy a Legendary Brawler if he is available in the shop
The fastest and probably the easiest way to get Leon is to buy him in the shop when he becomes available for everyone. This already happened in the past, where players could buy the Shark Leon skin, which also unlocks the Brawler if the player does not own him already.
However, buying a Legendary rank Brawler is quite expensive, as you can expect to pay around 360 gems per Brawler. This is the amount that I suppose we have to pay, as Crow was available in the shop for this price a few days ago (as of May 11th, 2020).
So, if you see Leon skins in the shop (costs around 80 gems per skin), it is the safest way to get your hands on this character.
Method 2: Open as many Boxes as you can
To get new Brawlers in Brawl Stars, we have to open chests that we receive by playing the game, completing the trophy road, or buying them with gems. At the moments, there are 3 types of chests in the game. Luckily they share the same drop rates with each other, so we have an equal chance to get Leon from a Mega or a Big Box.
However, opening a Big or Mega Box gives us many more items than a Brawl Box, so there is a higher chance of getting better loot. To collect boxes as efficiently as possible, you should buy Token Doublers in the shop (if available), and play new events once a day.
Winning a new event once per day gives us a Star Token, and by collecting 10 of them, we can open a Big Box. At the same time, we also collect regular tokens, no matter if we win a match or not. Every 100 tokens, we can open a Brawl Box.
If you like Brawl Stars and play it on a regular basis, I would also recommend pushing trophies to collect the extra rewards on the trophy road. Such rewards can be Token Doublers, Chests, Coins, Characters, and PowerPoints.

Here are the current drop rates of chests in Brawl Stars:
PowerPoints + Coins | 94.2% |
Rare Brawler | 2.6928% |
Super Rare Brawler | 1.2096% |
Epic Brawler | 0.5472% |
Mythic Brawler | 0.2496% |
Legendary Brawler | 0.1008% |
Star Power | 1.000% |
Gadget | 2.1033% |
Method 3: Buy gems to buy Mega boxes
I think you already saw that one coming, but it is a (potentially) fast method to get Leon in Brawl Stars. If you spend about $110 on the game, you could buy 25 Mega boxes, which contain 250 items. But it is not guaranteed that you get Leon out of these boxes.
However, if you are ready to spend some money on this fantastic game, you could wait until Leon gets available for purchase in the shop. But if you’re going to stay consistent as a F2P player, you can still collect a massive amount of regular Brawl Boxes, without spending a dime on the game.
How to increase your chances of getting a legendary in Brawl Stars?
To increase the chance of getting a Legendary Brawler is to unlock as many Brawlers as possible. I unlocked all the Rare and Super Rare Brawler pretty fast, and now my chance to get an Epic, Mythic or Legendary Brawler increased a bit.
So this means if you manage to unlock all the non-Legendary Brawlers before, the chance of pulling Leon, Spike, Crow, or Sandy increases a lot.
Luckily, we do not have to pull all the non-Legendary Brawlers at first, to get our hands on the rarest characters. To make it possible for everyone to get a legendary character, Supercell added a feature that increases our luck over time. The more chests we open and not get a new character, our chance of getting one increases every time.
Whenever we get a new Brawler out of a chest, our “luck value” goes down based on the rarity of the Brawler we got. When the luck value is high enough, getting a Legendary Brawler is more likely, while a low luck value means that it’s harder to get a new Legendary Brawler.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. Can I choose the Brawler that I get from Brawl Boxes?
Unfortunately, you cannot select the specific Brawler you want from Brawl Boxes. The Brawler you receive is determined by the game’s algorithm, which factors in drop rates and the ‘luck value’.
2. How often do Legendary Brawlers appear in the shop?
There isn’t a set schedule for when Legendary Brawlers like Leon might pop up in the shop. Their appearance is randomized, but rest assured, they do appear occasionally.
3. Is it necessary to buy gems to get Leon?
While buying gems can indeed expedite the process, it’s by no means obligatory. Many players have successfully unlocked Leon through diligent gameplay, collecting boxes, and using the trophy road rewards.
4. I’ve heard about “luck value”. How does it affect my chance to get Leon?
Luck value is a unique feature of Supercell. Essentially, every time you open a Brawl Box and don’t get a new Brawler, your luck value increases. This heightened value then improves your chances of pulling a rare character, like a Legendary Brawler. But remember, upon securing a new Brawler, your luck value decreases based on the new Brawler’s rarity.
5. Can I get Leon from the Trophy Road rewards?
Unfortunately, Leon can’t be unlocked via Trophy Road rewards. The Trophy Road only provides Brawlers up to a certain rarity, and Leon, being a Legendary Brawler, exceeds that range.
